Academic Success operates from a philosophy that holds all community members as vital and integral to the whole. Our purpose is to help all students succeed to graduation. Academic Success works to empower students through support and encouragement as intellectual members of Chowan University. 

Located on the third floor of the Columns Building, Academic Success seeks to:

• Help students transition between home and university.
• Promote student success by providing educational support and guidance.
• Encourage freshmen success by providing mentoring services.
• Challenge and support students academically, socially, and spiritually.
• Increase retention-to-graduation with early intervention and life-skills strategies.
• Review administrative processes (academic appeals and financial aid).
