Prospective Students

Application Fee – Students applying for admission into Chowan University must pay the non-refundable $20 application fee by clicking here.

Advanced Tuition Deposit – Students wishing to enroll at Chowan University are required to submit the $100 advanced tuition deposit by clicking here. When coupled with the completed Housing Preference Form, the deposit secures your spot in student housing and qualifies you to attend Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR).

Graduate Student Tuition Deposit – Students wishing to enroll in a graduate program at Chowan University are required to submit a $150 advanced tuition deposit. To make your deposit, click here. Deposits are refundable if requested in writing prior to May 1st for students enrolling in the Fall and December 1st for students enrolling in the Spring.

If you would like to pay your Application Fee or Advanced Tuition Deposit by mail, please indicate the student’s full name, make your check payable to Chowan University, and mail to:

All tuition payments, payment plans, and account management are now available through Chowan University’s secure online payment portal.

From the payment portal you can:

• Make a one-time tuition payment
• Enroll in a monthly payment plan
• View your student account balance
• Access your account as a student or invited payer
• Pay using bank account, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other available payment methods

Payment plan options, fees, and disclosures will be presented during enrollment. Availability may vary. Payment plans are powered by Illumia.

All credit card payments must be completed through the online payment system. Credit card payments for tuition are no longer accepted by phone or in person. The Business Office still accepts cash and check payments in person.
