Chowan University Welcomes Wendy Blythe as Assistant VP for Accounting in the Business Office
Chowan University is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Assistant VP for Accounting in the Business Office, Wendy Blythe. Wendy is a Franklin, VA native with extensive experience in the field, the addition of this individual to the Chowan family is expected to bring a fresh perspective and valuable expertise.
Having obtained both an Associates and Bachelor’s degree from Chowan, the new Assistant VP is no stranger to the institution. Prior to joining the university, Wendy worked at the renowned Jonathan Edwards CPA Firm and also had a successful stint as a self-employed professional. However, what truly excites Wendy about her new role at Chowan is the opportunity to return home and to work towards the success of the students.
In her new position, the Assistant VP for Accounting in the Business Office. will primarily oversee the accounting and financial operations of the university. Wendy’s extensive experience in this area makes her an ideal fit for the role, ensuring the smooth functioning of the business office and contributing to the overall success of Chowan University.
When asked about her personal philosophy, Wendy said that her favorite quote is, “Life is short, eat the cake!” This sentiment perfectly encapsulates their positive outlook and zest for life, which is sure to inspire and motivate the Chowan community.
Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two children and four grandchildren. Her dedication to her loved ones is mirrored in her commitment to Chowan University, where she will undoubtedly make a lasting impact.
