Andy Wilson, Vice President for Advancement, is featured in the February 2023 edition of Special Events Galore!, a monthly journal geared toward nonprofit professionals seeking tips on their events. Wilson contributed to the “Event Analytics Essentials” section titled “Event Formulas That Help Make Your Case.” 

The article focuses on how to communicate with leadership and clients using analytics from events. His contribution centers on using data that is meaningful for measuring; not just using data to use data and counting the results.  Wilson provided what he feels are the five other values that are essential to event analytics: attendee lead, cost per prospective lead, gross margin rate, event cost per attendee, and revenue expenses ratio and return on investment. 

Wilson’s contribution to Special Events Galore! was based on his presentation at the AEP (Academic Event Professional) Conference at Boston University in Boston, MA on October 18, 2022. The conference was attended by colleges and universities around the country, from Notre Dame to Chowan University.
