Office of Alumni Relations Launches Alumni Verification
Chowan University recently launched a comprehensive alumni verification project in preparation for our 175th Anniversary. Our 175-anniversary celebrations will begin on October 11, 2022 (Chowan’s 174th birthday) and run through Homecoming 2023. We’ve assembled the information currently listed in our alumni files and need your help to confirm the accuracy of your record and fill in any information gaps. We are also collecting stories from our alumni to memorialize the history of the campus experience through the years. We have partnered with PCI for this – please call (800) 403-8792 to update your information and participate in this historic event.
Chowan University was founded on October 11, 1848, and will celebrate its 175th anniversary for an entire year beginning on October 11th. You are a vital part of this important commemoration in the life of your alma mater. Throughout the anniversary year, you will be notified of special events through the Alumni and Supporters Facebook page and the Chowanian (emails).
One way that you can participate is by sharing your Chowan experience. In celebration of Chowan’s 175th Anniversary Celebration, we are collecting stories with the assistance of PCI (Publishing Concepts). Alumni stories will memorialize the history of the campus experience through the years. As the Alumni Director, it is always my pleasure to meet alumni and hear stories. Many of you have shared interesting campus experiences over the years which are worthy of this publication.
