CU Appoints Bailey as VP for Enrollment Management
Chowan University is pleased to announce the promotion of Kim Sherman Bailey to Vice President for Enrollment Management. Bailey will be the first woman to hold the title of VP in almost two decades.
“I am honored to serve in this role and to be able to continue giving back to a University that has given so much to me, our community, faculty, staff, alumni, and current students. Chowan is a special place. She allows students to grow academically and spiritually. I am blessed to be able to be a part of her story, in both receiving and serving and am honored to continue the tradition of faith in your future,” says Bailey.
Bailey is a two-time graduate of Chowan, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees—first as a part of the inaugural class when the institution returned to full university status and then as one of the first alumni of the master’s program. Following her bachelor’s degree, Bailey has continually held a position in Admissions with her most recent title of Assistant Vice President and Dean of Enrollment Management.
Randy Harrell, previous VP for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and long-time supervisor and mentor to Bailey has this to say about her recent promotion: “Vice President Bailey has a thorough understanding of all aspects of enrollment management. She will approach her new role as Vice President with the same "what is best for Chowan" attitude that she has been distinguished by since I first met her as a summer conference student worker 10 years ago. I have absolute confidence that Kim will guide our Enrollment Management team to record success.”
Please join us in congratulating Kim Bailey on her accomplishment.
