Chowan University Earns 2024-2025 Military Friendly® Gold Status
Chowan University was recognized nationally for its support of military students, earning the status of a Military Friendly® university with a gold-level ranking for the 2024-25 academic year. This designation by VIQTORY, a service-disabled veteran-owned publication focusing on post-military education and employment.
Institutions earning the designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the survey with 785 colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide earning the designation.
Richard Todd, Chowan University Registrar, and veteran commented on the institution’s commitment to student veterans, saying, “Chowan University is pleased to announce that it has been designated again as a Military Friendly® School, and this year as gold status. Chowan continues to support veterans and their dependents to achieve their educational goals and open doors to brighter futures and fulfilling careers.”
