CU Volleyball Travels To VUU For Regular Season Finale

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team travels to Virginia Union for the regular season finale on Thursday evening.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan wrapped up the CIAA Northern Division Title earlier this week with a win over Virginia State to move to 14-11 overall and 9-0 in Northern Division play.

Brittany Tschida leads the team with 172 kills, with Makayla Castro (148), Courtney O'Keefe (145), and Kayla Gates (140) following.

Karisa Patterson earned CIAA Volleyball Player of the Week last week after posting the program's first ever triple double in a non-conference match against St. Andrews.  Patterson leads the CIAA with 706 assists.

Bailey Zavala achieved the 1000 career digs mark in the match against St. Andrews.  Zavala leads the CIAA with 424 digs on the season.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
Virginia Union is 15-9 on the season and have won five straight matches.  The Panthers sit in third in the CIAA Northern Division.

Ambryanna Moore leads the Panthers with 178 kills.  Jayshil Oatley is second on the team with 145 kills.

LAST MEETING

The Hawks picked up the 3-0 decision in the last meeting on October 22.  Chowan won 25-15, 25-15, 25-18.  The Panthers hit -.134 in the contest to aid in the Hawks' win.
