CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced CIAA Football Players and Coach of the Week for Week Seven of the 2017 season.

Chowan's Torry Baker and Randy Allen Jr. were selected as Receiver of the Week and Defensive Back of the Week respectively.  Both earn their first CIAA Weekly honor.

Torry Baker, junior from Charlotte, N.C., hauled in seven receptions for a career-high 185 yards including three touchdowns.  Baker hauled in completions of 72, 52, and 11 for touchdowns.  His 72-yd touchdown was the second longest reception for a touchdown in program history. Baker's 185 yards receiving is seventh most all-time.

Randy Allen Jr. notched a career-high 15 tackles in the win over Elizabeth City State.  The senior from Newport News, Va., was all over the field for the Hawks as his 15 tackles are tied for eighth most in a single game and most by a defensive back since Dakorian DeSamme in 2013.
