MURFREESBORO, NC – Six of Chowan's eight spring sports teams will be in action on Wednesday, March 29th, at both home and visiting venues. There are several opportunities to catch the action live in the midweek action.

The Chowan University men's and women's tennis teams are in action with the men hosting the University of Delaware at the Rose Family Tennis Courts at 9:00am. The women's tennis team will travel to CIAA Northern Division opponent, Elizabeth City State University, for a 2:00pm match. No live coverage is available for these matches but be sure to check out the athletics website for post match stories and scores. 

The Chowan University baseball team is set to host Francis Marion University at Hawkins Field at 1:30pm. The Patriots have spent a majority of the season ranked as one of the top teams in nation but recently fell out of the rankings. The teams met up earlier this year for a two-game series back in February. The Patriots picked up a 9-0 and 11-4 win over the Hawks. Wednesday's game is a single, nine inning game. The CU women's lacrosse team is in action on the road in a non-conference match at Wingate University. The women's lacrosse team is coming off a loss to Belmont-Abbey College on Saturday. They are looking to rebound with a road win today. They currently sit at 3-6 on the year. Live stats are available for Wednesday's match. The CU men's lacrosse team is coming off their first win in program history after downing Emmanuel College 22-7 in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday. The Hawks will travel for another conference match up on Wednesday, this time to the University of Mount Olive. The Trojans enter the match at 6-2. The CU softball team will be heading to Petersburg, Virginia today to play Shaw University in a CIAA cross divisional match up. First pitch is slated for 12:00pm. Live coverage is not available for the game but be sure to log onto the athletic website for scores and stats following the game. Wednesday's game is a make up game being played at a neutral location.
