MURFREESBORO- The Chowan University women's basketball program has announced two National Letter of Intent (NLI) signees.  Kaylah Henderson and Olivia Gaither will join the Hawks next season. 

Henderson, a point guard, currently attends Paul VI High School.  Chowan University Head Women's Basketball Coach LaToya Jones noted, "I am excited to welcome Kaylah to our basketball family.  Kaylah is a versatile point guard that can facilitate and create her own scores.  She comes from a championship program and has a winning mentality". 

Gaither, a small forward, rounds out the list of NLI signees for the women's basketball program.  She attends Colonial Forge High School.  Jones added, "I'm thrilled to welcome Olivia to our basketball family.  She brings size, speed, a strong defensive presence, and inside/out scoring ability.  Olivia has good hands and rebounds well.  She is a true competitor and plays with passion and heart". 

Gaither and Henderson both compete for the Capital City Ballerz travel team. 

The Chowan women's basketball team posts a 9-2 overall record and stands 2-0 in CIAA play this season.
