According to the American Marketing Association, “Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.”

Every firm from small to large, for-profit or non-profit and including private, public or government, needs skilled individuals to handle its marketing function. Positions include sales, advertising, public relations, retailing, market research, corporate marketing, internet marketing, and customer relations. Graduates with a marketing degree will enter a growing job market according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, with individuals in the upper levels of marketing management commanding high salaries.

The Marketing Concentration in the Department of Business at Chowan University will prepare you to enter this exciting and rewarding field!
