Chowan University Welcomes Dr. Shelley Greene as Vice President for Enrollment and Development
Chowan University is pleased to announce that Dr. Shelley Greene has been appointed as Vice President for Enrollment and Development. This position will allow Dr. Greene to further advance Chowan in these two vital areas which are poised for growth. With a strong commitment to Chowan’s mission, Dr. Greene is set to drive growth and advancement in enrollment and development.
Prior to joining Chowan University, Dr. Greene served as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Randolph Community College in Asheboro, NC. Her dedication to higher education and her passion for empowering students make her a valuable addition to the Chowan community. In this role, Dr. Greene was able to gain experience in managing diverse teams and driving improved decision-making processes. From navigating budgets to increasing endowments, the unique skill set she gained from her experiences has helped refine her skills in leadership, strategic planning, budget management, and collaboration.
A native of Highfalls, NC, Dr. Greene holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Marketing from Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC. She furthered her education by completing a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. In 2023, she achieved her Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.
When asked about her decision to join Chowan University, Dr. Greene expressed her excitement, stating, “I am thrilled to embark on this journey, blending the rich Chowan history, my higher education experience, and a shared faith. Together, we can forge a path that fosters academic excellence and equips our students with invaluable life skills.”
Dr. Greene will be accompanied in Murfreesboro by her husband, Kyle, daughter Lily, and son Noah. The entire Chowan family is delighted to welcome them and looks forward to the positive impact they will have on campus.
