Chowan University Welcomes Elizabeth Grace Evans as Newest Admissions Counselor
The Chowan University Office of Admissions is excited to announce the recent appointment of Elizabeth “Grace” Evans as the newest admissions counselor. Evans, a native of Roanoke Rapids, graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Following her graduation, Evans began work as a Recruiter at Maxim Healthcare Services. The experience she was able to achieve in her previous career makes her an ideal candidate for the position of admissions counselor, and we know that her skills that she has acquired through her previous work in recruitment will benefit the work she will complete for the admissions staff.
Evans shared her excitement in regards to her new position, stating, “I am extremely excited to be an Admissions Counselor and to help make the transition to college easier for future Hawks!”. This passion for student success will undoubtedly help her to forge relationships with prospective students with a genuine authenticity that promotes the ideals of Chowan University.
As a Life Skills University, it is the goal of all of the admissions staff to promote a full understanding of what Chowan is able to offer a student, not just in their undergraduate career, but as they break into the workforce post-graduation. With the integration of her skills and experiences, Evans will ensure that students will be able to carefully navigate their journey into Higher Education and excel beyond Chowan.
Having returned to Roanoke Rapids, Evans in her free time enjoys a variety of activities from reading to spending time with her fiancé as they prepare for their upcoming wedding in the spring. As they get settled into their first home, they make sure that their dog is always included in their activities.
Please join us in welcoming Grace Evans to Chowan University!
