I majored in Criminal Justice and during my time in this program, I was able to obtain the skills I needed in the workplace through the intriguing course content and hands-on coursework opportunities, along with the support and guidance from my Chowan family. The close community and individualized learning that Chowan provides helped me to strengthen my interpersonal as well as intrapersonal skills and opened many doors for me in the Criminal Justice field upon graduation. Because of Chowan, I was able to begin my career as a Probation Officer and soon transitioned to a different area in the Justice System, where I now serve as Martin County’s Magistrate. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my time spent at Chowan University!”
