
Chowan Esports Hosted Clemson Over The Weekend
MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Esports Program took a step away from their normal competition schedule as the Hawks hosted the Clemson Esports Program over the weekend in some friendly competition.
“We were excited to have a Division I program here on campus and to compete against them,” said Katie Harry. “Both programs had a great time intermingling together and learning from one another.”
The Hawks and Tigers competed in the MCEA Valorant Playoffs in December with Clemson taking the opening contest 19-17 before Chowan defeated Clemson in the Grand Finals 2-0.
During the weekend, Chowan and Clemson competed in three titles: Rocket League, League of Legends, and Valorant in friendly competition. Clemson would take the competition in all three titles.
NORMAL SCHEDULE
During the week, Chowan picked three wins in Valorant action, starting the week with a forfeit victory over Colgate. The Hawks would cruise to a 2-0 victory in AVGL action against Southern Methodist before tallying a 13-4 victory over South Florida.
The Hawks would fall 3-0 to Farmingdale State in Rocket League before wrapping up the week with a 2-1 loss to Kilgore in League of Legends action.
