Lanier Grabs D2CCA First Team All-Region
Sixteen student-athletes from 10 different schools earned D2CCA All-Southeast Region First Team distinctions this season including Chowan's Marquise Lanier.
Marquise Lanier, outfielder, earned his first D2CCA All-Region First Team honor after an outstanding senior campaign. The senior from Warsaw, Va. earned Conference Carolinas Co-Player of the Year honors and Conference Carolinas First Team honors this season after hitting .407 with 13 doubles, 15 home runs, 44 RBI, and stole 11 bases.
Lanier will move on to the D2CCA All-American ballot for voting. The voting, nomination and calculations are all conducted by the school's sports information directors. The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association.
