Strong Opening Round Sits Hawks in Second
The Chowan Men's Golf team played a strong opening round at the 2019 CIAA Northern Divisional with a 305 team score on Monday afternoon.

ON THE COURSE
Virginia Union currently holds on to first place after posting a 304 in the opening round. The Hawks trail the Panthers by just one stroke after carding a 305 on Monday. Fayetteville State recorded a 314 team score to sit in third overall.
Logan Sessoms of Fayetteville State and Alex Stewart from Livingstone sit T1 after posting a 72 on the day.
Chowan carded a strong 305 to sit in second place after the opening round. Tyler Pittman leads the Hawks after he shot a 75 to currently sit in fifth place.
Following Pittman is teammate Donald Thaxton who carded a 76 to sit T6 for the Blue and White.
Steven Rhinard and Graham Cowan each posted a 77 on the day to sit T10, while Dale Davis rounded out the scoring for the Hawks with an 80 first round score.
