Hawks Take Second in Northern Divisional

The Chowan Men's Golf team came out with a second place finish at the 2019 CIAA Northern Divisional after carding a 302 in the final round on Tuesday afternoon.

LOCATION | Petersburg, Va. (Dogwood Trace Country Club)

ON THE COURSE
Virginia Union came out on top as a team after posting a 297 second round score and 601 final. The Hawks secured second place with a 302 round two score and 607 final, while the Broncos of Fayetteville State claimed third after carding a 307 on Tuesday.

Alex Stuart of Livingstone won medalist after recording a 70 in the final round for a 142 tournament final.

Pacing the Hawks was Steven Rhinard who moved up seven spots to finish T3 overall. Rhinard shaved off seven strokes to post a 70 second round score and 147 final.

With a 76 on the day, Tyler Pittman completed the tournament with a 151 final to finish T9, while teammate, Dale Davis improved his final round score by five strokes to post a 75 on Tuesday. Davis finished in 13th place overall for the Blue and White.

Donald Thaxton and Graham Cowan each shot an 81 in their second round to finish T14 and T17 respectively.

Playing as an individual for Chowan was Daniel Ivanouski who posted an 85 second round score and 169 final.
