CU Athletics Gearing Up for 10th Annual Community Night
The Chowan University athletic department is proud to host the 10th Annual CU Community Night August 16th at 6:30pm. The event will be held rain or shine. Barring poor weather, the event will be hosted on the upper athletic fields behind the Helms Center. The rain location is the Helms Center. CU Athletics Community Night is a free, fun night for the Roanoke-Chowan community and kicks-off the start of a new athletic year for the Hawks.
Coaches and student-athletes from the football, men's and women's soccer, cross country, men's and women's soccer, cheerleading, and volleyball teams will be leading games and activities for children. Coaches and staff members will be on site to meet and greet the community in attendance. The Voice of the Hawks, Gattis Hodges, will be on site for staff interviews on a video stream.
CU Community Night is a family-oriented event featuring activities and entertainment including: mini skills clinics, bounce houses, face painting, giveaways, and meet-and-greet time with student-athletes, coaches and community members. Light refreshments will be available to those in attendance.
This event is a free, family event. Parking will be located at the Helms Center and in the gravel lot behind Hawkins Field off of Union Street.
