Chowan University Trustee Hugh C. Vincent received the Hertford and Bertie County Distinguished Citizen Award on March 15, 2018, from the Boy Scouts of America. In appreciation for his service to the scouts of Hertford and Bertie County, Lewis-Deanes district, and the East Carolina Council, he was presented with a Friends of Scouting Limited Edition Print.
