MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Basketball team jumped two spots in the recent D2SIDA Atlantic Regional Poll after defeating regionally ranked Virginia State over the weekend.

Chowan returns to seventh in the rankings after spending the past two weeks at #9.  Chowan has been ranked every week this season starting the season ranked #10.

The Hawks are 14-3 this season and 6-1 in CIAA play after the huge win against Virginia State.

Chowan is one of four CIAA schools ranked in the D2SIDA Poll with Virginia Union (1), Virginia State (8), and Bowie State (10).
