Hawks Men’s Soccer Continues Streak Against Barton
MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team remained unbeaten at home as the Hawks caged the Bulldogs of Barton, 3-1, in Conference Carolinas play on Wednesday afternoon. Chowan is unbeaten in their last six matches going 5-0-1.

Terell Williamson notched five points in the win scoring twice and picking up an assist.
Carl Kennedy added a goal and an assist on the afternoon. Mike Dowling, and Jamie McNicholas also notched an assist.
Elliot Chadderton recorded five saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Half:
Fans were still talking about the women's match as the Hawks notched their first goal of the match just 2:18 into the contest. Mike Dowling sent a cross in from the right wing finding Terell Williamson for the 1-0 lead.
Both teams registered shots in the half as two of the Bulldogs' shots were saved by Elliot Chadderton.
The Hawks would take the 1-0 lead into the halftime whistle.
2nd Half:
The Hawks pressured from the opening whistle of the half as Lee Wattam's heading attempt was saved.
Off the clear, Terell Williamson pushed the Hawks forward down the left side. Williamson would connect with Carl Kennedy in the middle of the box for the second tally of the match finding the back of the net left post in the 49'.
The momentum continued for the Hawks in the 54' as Chowan played up the right wing. Jamie McNicholasdribbled down towards the touchline and sent a cross in front of the cage and was flicked on by Carl Kennedy to a wide open Terell Williamson. Williamson would finish near post for the 3-0 advantage.
Barton kept the Hawks from a shutout in the 67' as the Bulldogs scored on a free kick just outside the box. Tolly Beatson put the attempt in the only spot Elliot Chadderton couldn't cover to cut the deficit to 3-1.
The Hawks maintained possession for most of the remainder of the match.
