Lucci Grabs Second Conference POTW Honors
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University forward Carolina Lucci has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 11-17, the Conference announced today. It marks her second straight POTW honor and Chowan's third straight.
Lucci, a freshman from Monaca, Pa., repeats as Conference Player of the Week after keeping the Hawks unbeaten (3-0-1, 2-0-0) on the year. In a 2-1 league win over Erskine, Lucci would collect all three of Chowan's points, dishing an assist to tie the match and then scoring the match-winning goal just 38 seconds into overtime.
Lucci currently leads the Conference in points (11), goals (5) and game-winning goals (3).
