Lucci Garners Conference Carolinas POTW Honors
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University forward Carolina Lucci has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 4-10, the Conference announced today.
A freshman from Monaca, Pa., Lucci was a focal point behind the Hawks staying unbeaten on the year and picking up their first Conference Carolinas victory last week. She posted eight points on four goals and led Chowan to a big 2-0-0 record. The Hawks are 2-0-1 on the season.
In a 5-0 win over Emmanuel in Chowan's Conference Carolinas debut on Sept. 9, Lucci would tally two goals. The very next day she would post two more goals and pace the Hawks to an 8-0 win over Lincoln (Pa.).
Lucci currently leads the Conference in goals (4) and game-winning goals (2), while ranking second in points (8).
