Chowan Men’s tennis Grabs #2 Seed in NCAA Atlantic Region II Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The NCAA selection show announced Tuesday night that the Chowan University Hawks men's tennis team will serve as the #2 seed in the NCAA Atlantic Region II Tournament this weekend.
The Atlantic Region II Tournament will feature #2 Chowan, #5 West Virginia University, and #6 West Liberty University. #5 West Virginia Wesleyan and #6 West Liberty University will meet on Saturday, April 29th. The winner of the #5 – #6 match will face off against the #2 seeded Hawks on Sunday, April 30th.
The matches will be played at the Rose Family Tennis Courts on the campus of Chowan University.
The Hawks earned the #2 seed after posting a 15-7 overall record and winning their last nine out of ten matches. They most recently beat the #1 team in the Atlantic Region, Bluefield State University, 5-4 on April 14th.
The tournament times will be announced as soon as they become available.
