CHARLOTTE, NC – Chowan University's Kayla Robins has been named the CIAA Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week. Robins posted a 1-1 weekend record where she recorded 26 total strikeouts. 

Robins pitched a four-hitter in a 1-0 loss to West Chester University on March 25th. The Rams used an unearned run in the bottom of the 7th inning to help propel them to the 1-0 win. Robins struck out 11 WCU batters. The followed that up with a one-hit shut out win over the University of the Sciences. She tallied 15 strikeouts in seven innings of work. 

Robins and the Hawks will get back to action on Wednesday, March 29th, when they travel to Virginia State University to play Shaw University in a make up game from the CIAA Round Up two weekends ago.
