LASKER, NC -The Chowan University men's golf team opened their spring season with a dual match against Waynesburg University at Valley Pine Country Club on Thursday afternoon. The Hawks tallied a team score of 312 on their home course, beating Waynesburg by 93 strokes. 

While the Hawks finished up 18 holes with 312 team strokes, Waynesburg finished with a team score of 405. 

Jordan Francis finished 18 holes of play with a round-low of 75. He led the field of fourteen on the day. Teammate Billy Britton carded a 77 to come in just behind Francis. Steven Rhinard and Dale Davis each carded an 80 in the one-round dual match while Christian Fleetwood finished the round with 89 strokes. 

Leading the Yellow Jackets was Alex Orlandi who totaled a stroke count of 88 while Ivan Li scored a 98 in the match.

The Hawks return to action on March 12th -14th as they travel to Clayton, North Carolina as they compete in the Saint Augustine's Invitational
