Chowan University to Host 25th Annual Intern Employer Day
MURFREESBORO, NC – On Thursday, March 16th, the Krueger School of Graphic Communications at Chowan University will host fifteen employers from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia for the 25th annual intern employer day. The employers will interview students seeking full-time positions as well as summer paid internships. (All graphic communications students are required to complete a fifteen-week internship).
During the day, each employer will interview up to ten students for twenty minutes. That’s a potential of 150 interviews in one day!
The event runs from 9am to 4pm. Lunch will be provided by the PICA Foundation, a non-profit foundation serving the education needs of the printing industry in the Carolinas.
Graduates from the program receive a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communications. Considered to be one of the premier programs of its kind in the country, the faculty along with their industry advisory council are constantly assessing the ever-changing needs in the printing and packaging arena. At a recent advisory council meeting, the committee agreed the University should focus on color management, packaging, variable data printing, MIS systems, and mailing, as well as the traditional areas of offset, flexo, and screen printing.
Started in 1952, the William A. Krueger School of Graphic Communications is celebrating sixty-five years of developing the talents of young people for placement in the graphic communications and printing industries. For more information, contact Tom Brennan at brennt@chowan.edu or call 252-398-6207.
