CHARLOTTE, NC- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in conjunction with the Men's Basketball Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association announced the honorees for the CIAA Men's Basketball Player, Rookie, Newcomer, and Coach of the Week on Wednesday.  Chowan University's Marco Haskins was tabbed CIAA Player of the Week after leading the Hawks to three wins on the court. 
 
Haskins, a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, drained 21- points in a 95-77 victory over Livingstone.  He followed up with a nine-point outing in an 88-78 win over Salem International and a 19-point performance in a 79-65 win against Elizabeth City State.  Haskins averages 13.2 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per outing this season for the Chowan Blue and White. 
 
The Hawks stand 16-6 on the season and hold an 8-4 record against CIAA competition.  Chowan is undefeated on their home court; posting an 11-0 mark in the Helms Center.
