Chowan Inclement Weather Notification
Due to road conditions, the University has made the following decisions:
Monday, January 9 – The University is closed, including offices and residence halls.
Tuesday, January 10 – The University will reopen at 10:00 a.m. This includes offices and residence halls. The cafeteria will begin meal service at 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, January 11 – Check-in will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Jenkins Center. Academic Advising will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Thursday, January 12 – Classes will begin at 8:00 a.m.
Monday, January 16 – Classes will be held. A special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Program will be held in Turner Auditorium at 11:00 a.m. This will be a Perspectives event.
The university will continue to closely monitor the winter storm. In the meantime, please review the many ways Chowan shares information about inclement weather:
Students, faculty, and staff should monitor their Chowan email. This is the first way the university will communicate a weather update, so messages with a reference to the weather in the subject line merit careful review.
