International Help Portrait Day at Chowan University
On Saturday, December 3rd, the VISION Club and Photography Club at Chowan University will be celebrating International Help Portrait Day. Help Portrait is a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate.
Since their launch in 2008, Help-Portrait has become more of a movement and less of an organization. People in nearly 70 countries have caught the vision and ran with it.
The VISION Club and Photography Club, student organization at Chowan University, will be coordinating all aspects of the event. Photo sessions include one portrait photography service, three on-site edits, four prints and 8×10 framing to 50-75 families throughout the day. They will also have good hospitality, food, and a Christmas tree.
Internationally recognized portrait photographer, Leeta Harding will be assisted by students while shooting the portraits.
The event runs from 7am to 5pm. Call Teresa Warren at 252-398-1224 to make an appointment for your portrait. The Graphic Communications department is located in the Horner Building at Chowan University on Hawks Drive.
