CHARLOTTE, NC- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in conjunction with the CIAA Volleyball Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association announced the CIAA Volleyball Player, Rookie, and Coach of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.  Chowan University Head Coach Melody Tenney earned CIAA Coach of the Week honors. 

Tenney guided the Hawks to a 2-1 record last week in nonconference play.  Chowan topped Limestone College 3-2, fell to Belmont Abbey College 3-2, and picked up a 3-0 win over Pfeiffer over the course of the week.  The Hawks stand 18-8 overall heading into the final stretch of regular season play. 

Chowan maintains the lead of the CIAA Northern Division with a 12-2 record in league play and unblemished 8-0 divisional mark.  The Hawks return to action November 2ndand November 3rd when Chowan travels to compete against Claflin University and St. Andrews University, respectively.
