Chowan Athletic Department Gears up for 8th Annual Community Night
MURFREESBORO- The Chowan University athletic department is proud to host the 8th Annual CU Community Night on August 18th at 6:30pm. The event will take place on the upper athletic fields behind Hawkins Baseball Field. CU Community Night is a free, fun night for the Roanoke-Chowan community and kicks-off the start of a new athletic year for the Hawks.
Coaches and student-athletes from the football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball teams will be present. Gattis Hodges will host "Talkin' Sports with Gattis Hodges" via live remove. Coaches and student-athletes will be interviewed over the course of the evening and will share insight on the upcoming season. "Talkin' Sports with Gattis Hodges" can be heard on WDLZ 98.3 in Murfreesboro, WTRG 97.9, and WSMY 1400 CBS Sports Radio in Roanoke Rapids.
Hawks' fans will have the opportunity to interact with Chowan's fall athletic teams as well as various members of the athletic department.
CU Community Night is a family-oriented event featuring activities and entertainment including: mini skills clinics, bounce house, face painting, giveaways, and meet-and-greet time with student-athletes, coaches and community members. Light refreshments will be available.
