Chowan University is pleased to announce the hiring of a recent honor graduate from their School of Business. Christina Thomas, of Corapeake, NC, was recognized her senior year as the recipient of both the Drs. Vaughn and Miles Outstanding Business Student Award and the Best All-Around Student. The Development Staff is pleased to welcome her to the team as Assistant Director of University Relations – Digital Communication Specialist. 

The University reached an enrollment of over 1,500 students last fall and is proud to recruit and hire outstanding students such as Thomas. As a Chowan graduate Thomas has a deep understanding of and commitment to Chowan’s mission. In addition to her exceptional performance as a student, Thomas cultivated skills in videography and photography through part-time work off campus that will aid in her new position.

“We expect great things from Christina and look forward to utilizing her skills and abilities for the advancement of our great university,” said Vice President for Development John Tayloe.

“Chowan believes that the best way to connect with potential students and alumni is through the stories shared by other alumni,” said Thomas. “I’m excited to share what Chowan has given me and to have the opportunity to give back to Chowan.”
