CUSRC Awards of Excellence

Over 140 students gave presentations during the Chowan University Student Research Conference, which was held on Tuesday, April 19. The Chowan University Student Research Conference Awards of Excellence honor students for outstanding presentations in each one of the conference's nine divisions. By the quality of their participation, these students exemplify what is best in the intellectual and artistic life of Chowan University. The award is chosen by the organizers of the Chowan Academic Forum, along with input from faculty judges.

Michale Siverio received the Best Graduate Paper Award. Ella Benson served as his faculty sponsor.

Sean Timmons received the Best Humanities Paper Award. Kerri Albertson served as his faculty sponsor.

Miranda Adams received the Best Professional Studies Paper Award. Carolyn Modlin served as her faculty sponsor.

Rachel Clark received the Best Mathematics and Natural/Behavioral Sciences Paper Award. Rachel Phillips served as her faculty sponsor.

Crystal Sarnor received the Best Poster Display Award. Corina Wack served as her faculty sponsor.

Terrence Taylor received the Best Musical Performance Award. Aaron Rice served as his faculty sponsor.

Ciara Person received the Best Visual Art Display Award. Rob Buller served has her faculty sponsor.

Bethaney Tinto received the Best Graphic Communications Display Award. Mitch Henke served as their faculty sponsor.

Alaya Burnham received the Best Literary Work Award. Bryan Herek served as her faculty sponsor.
