Cynthia Nicholson has been selected as one of the participants in the 2016-2017 Senior Leadership Academy, which is sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges and the American Academic Leadership Institute. The Senior Leadership Academy is a year-long program for midlevel administrators in higher education who aspire to senior leadership positions in independent colleges or universities. By completing the program, participants will have acquired considerable knowledge, skills, and experiences that are germane to the portfolio of responsibilities and activities central to the work of a college or university vice president or cabinet officer. The program includes two national seminars, readings, webinars, structured mentorship guidance, and individualize experiential activities designed to enhance participants’ professional experience so that they are ready to assume all responsibilities in a vice president’s portfolio upon completion of the program. The opening seminar will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, November 3-5, 2016, and the closing seminar will take place in Washington, D.C., June 22-24, 2017.
