The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in conjunction with the Men's and Women's Cross Country Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association announced the CIAA Cross Country Runners and Coach of the Week honorees on Wednesday afternoon.  Chowan University's Ashley Tackett was recognized as CIAA Women's Runner of the Week.

Tackett, whole hails from Norfolk, Virginia, had an impressive finish at the Hawks' first meet of the 2015 season at the Saint Andrews Invitational in Laurinburg, North Carolina on August 28th. Tackett placed third overall and lead the effort for the Blue and White with a time of 21:54.6. Chowan finished in third place out of the four teams that participated and earned a team score of 66.

The Hawks return to action on Friday as they travel to Barton College for a 6:00pm meet with the Lady Bulldogs.
