Food Lion awarded Miss Chowan University, LaTarryl Hall, with its coveted 2015 Miss CIAA crown, along with a scholarship at the McDonald's/CIAA Super Saturday inside the Time Warner Cable Arena on Saturday, February 28th.

A native of Columbia, SC, Hall attends Chowan University where she is a senior majoring in criminal justice.

The Food Lion Miss CIAA competition winners are given scholarships based on their GPA, community and school involvement, biography, essay and online popular vote.

The first runner up was SA'Keithia Hammond , Miss Johnson C. Smith University. Second-runner up was Miss Winston-Salem State University Leah Darby. The CIAA is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II athletic conference consisting mostly of historically African-American institutions of higher education.
