Hawks Swimming Secure Victory Over UNC Pembroke

MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan Swimming team continued their home win streak to nine straight victories with a win over UNC Pembroke on Senior Day, Saturday afternoon.  The Hawks grabbed eight first place finishes in the competition.

200 Medley Relay
Chowan took first in the event with a time of 2:12.99.  Kjahna OSarah HullKeitra Lloyd, and Grace Arredondo comprised of the relay.  UNC Pembroke finished with a time of 2:22.75.

800 Free
Chowan took third and fourth in the event with AnnMarie Spiker grabbing the third place finish with a time of 10:37.11. Jasmine Gibson touched the pad at 10:50.49 for the Hawks.

200 Free
Grace Arredondo secured first place with a time of 2:19.92. Keitra Lloyd touched the wall for third place at 2:33.94.

50 Free
SheAyre Bowles grabbed a first place finish with a time of 28.96, while teammate Ashley Hernandez finished behind in second with a time of 29.52.

200 IM
 Kjahna O and Sarah Hull finished first and second respectively with times of 2:30.10 and 3:01.79

100 Butterfly
Jasmine Gibson touched the wall first for the Blue and White with a time of 1:12.50.

100 Free
SheAyre Bowles finished first overall with a 1:04.04, not far behind with a 1:07.06 was teammate AnnMarie Spiker

100 Backstroke
Ashley Hernandez picked up the top finish of the event with a time of 1:12.18.
Keitra Lloyd finished second with a time of 1:17.63.

400 Free
Kjahna O picked up the first place finish with a time of 4:42.54

100 Breast
Grace Arredondo and Sarah Hull finished in the event with time of 1:25.86 and 1:29.49 respectively.

200 Free Relay
Jasmine Gibson, Ashley Hernandez, AnnMarie Spiker and SheAyre Bowles finished the relay with a time of 1:58.93.

The Hawks will gear up for the Conference Carolinas Championships on Feb 14-17 when they travel to Charlotte, N.C.
