Carolina Lucci Notches Fourth POTW Honors
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University forward Carolina Lucci has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played the week of Oct. 9-15, the Conference announced today. This marks Lucci's fourth POTW honor this year and her second straight.
A freshman from Monaca, Pa., Lucci added five more points to her rookie campaign total and kept the Hawks in second place of the league standings. In a 2-1 win over Barton, Lucci would net the match-winner for two points. In a 2-0 win over North Greenville, Lucci would net a score and dish an assist to have a foot in both goals for the Hawks.
Lucci currently tops the Conference Carolinas statistical standings in points (32), goals (14) and game-winning goals (7), while ranking fifth in assists (4).
