Dr. Audrey Griffin Retires from Chowan University Business Department
Dr. Audrey Griffin, Associate Professor of Information Systems and Management, has announced her retirement from Chowan University, effective at the end of this academic year. Dr. Griffin has been a member of the Chowan University faculty since 2011, making significant contributions to the university’s academic programs and leaving an indelible mark on the institution.
During her tenure, Dr. Griffin played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Masters of Organizational Leadership course curriculum at Chowan University. Her expertise and dedication have greatly enriched the educational experience of countless students, equipping them with the necessary skills to excel in their professional careers.
Dr. Griffin’s achievements were recognized at the recent Faculty and Staff Appreciation Awards. During the ceremony, Dr. Hunter Taylor spoke about their time together in the business department and commended her for her exceptional service and commitment to the university community. In honor of her invaluable contributions, Dr. Griffin was presented with a commemorative clock by President Rosemary Thomas, symbolizing the time she dedicated to Chowan University.
The Department of Business faculty held a retirement celebration in honor of Audrey Griffin and Tom Eisenmenger, who also retired this year, at Bayside Bistro in Jackson, NC, on May 3. Together they were able to reminisce on the years they had spent together as coworkers and friends.
As Dr. Griffin embarks on her well-deserved retirement, the Chowan University community extends their heartfelt gratitude for her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts. Her passion for education and commitment to excellence have left an enduring impact on the university and its students.
