CU Esports Set To Begin With Rocket League
Collegiate Sports are back on the Chowan campus, but in a new exciting different way as the Chowan Esports program kicks off the 2020-21 season. The newly added Esports program under the direction of TJ Snelson, the Hawks will compete in the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Rocket League Fall Season starting on October 6.

HAWKS TAKING FLIGHT
Chowan will compete in Group C during the group stage throughout the month of October as the Hawks will look to advance to the playoffs in the NACE Rocket League season in November. Chowan will take on Southern New Hampshire, Brewton-Parker, Keiser, Florida Southern, Southern Mississippi, Shenandoah, Rollins, and others during the group stage.
The Hawks will face Southern New Hampshire and Brewton-Parker on October 6 with the first contest taking place at 8:00pm. All contests will be played in the Chowan Esports Room in the Hawks Athletic Center.
WHAT IS ROCKET LEAGUE?
Rocket League is a vehicular soccer game with the objective of using rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent's goal and score points over the course of a five minute game. Matches in Rocket League are best-of-five.
