Women’s Tennis Outplays Lees-McRae
The Chowan Women's Tennis team secured a 4-3 conference victory over Lees-McRae on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
Lees-McRae picked up the No.1 doubles match 6-1 over Cynthia Carrier and Arina Karbolina before, taking the No.2 doubles win from Julieta Lecce and Angelique Gouin 6-4.
The Bobcats led the Hawks 1-0 into singles play after taking the No.3 doubles by default from Chowan.
In Singles:
By a default from the Hawks, Lees-McRae claimed the No.6 singles.
Claire Revelle fell 6-0, 6-0 at the No.5 singles position, before Cynthia Carrier secured the 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 victory at the No.1 singles match for the Blue and White.
At the No.4 singles match, Angelique Gouin beat her opponent 6-1, 1-6, 6-4.
Julieta Lecce won the No.3 singles 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (7-1) over her opponent to tie the Hawks and Bobcats 3-3 in the match.
With the No.2 singles left on the court, Arina Karbolina dropped the first set 6-2, before she recovered in the second set 6-4. Karbolina fought for the 7-6 tiebreaker win to put the Hawks ahead and win the 4-3 match.
