Chowan University Financial Aid Office Celebrates Retirement and Promotions
Sharon Rose, Director of Financial Aid at Chowan University, announced her retirement effective December 31, 2018, as a result, Ruth Casper was promoted to Director of Financial Aid and Patricia Holland to Associate Director of Financial Aid.
Rose joined Chowan in November 2006 as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She was promoted to Director shortly after. “Sharon has faithfully and admirably served Chowan for the last 12 years. Her leadership transformed the Financial Aid office as her tireless dedication to our students and ability to develop customer-centric staff will be difficult to replace,” said Danny Davis, Vice President for Business and Finance.
Davis continued, “A testament to Sharon’s leadership, Ruth Casper has assumed the duties of Director of Financial Aid. This promotion is well deserved and one that ensures the Financial Aid office will continue to advance in providing customer friendly and professional services.” Casper, a 2006 Chowan alumna, is working with Rose to ensure a smooth transition of departmental leadership.
Joining Casper in a leadership position in the Financial Aid Office is Holland who has assumed the position of Associate Director of Financial Aid and Loan Officer. “Holland has distinguished herself in managing and supporting student loan processing as well as being a critical component in building on departmental success,” said Davis. Holland joined the Financial Aid team in June 2011 as the Direct Loan Officer and will assist Casper in overall departmental leadership.
Please join Chowan University in congratulating Sharon, Ruth, and Patricia.
