Chowan University will host a Community Art Exhibition June 1, 2018 through August 17, 2018.

All artists in the Chowan University area are encouraged to enter their original artwork for the upcoming Community Art Exhibition and People’s Choice Awards. All media is acceptable. 2-D artworks must be matted and/or framed, with appropriate wire or saw tooth hangers secured to the back.

Artists may enter up to five artworks at Green Hall Art Gallery on Friday, May 25 and Saturday May 26, from 10-2 PM.

Chowan University visual art faculty will jury the entries. Accepted artwork will be exhibited from June 1 through August 17. Visitors to the exhibition will vote for their choices to receive awards during the summer. The winners will be announced at the closing reception on August 17, from 5-7 PM.

Artwork not juried into the exhibition should be picked up by the artist on Monday, May 27, from 12 – 6 PM. Artists will be notified on Sunday, May 27, if any entered work needs to be picked up.
