RALEIGH, NC –  Chowan University freshman Harley Williams and senior Brianna Cooper, both of Seaboard, NC, each received a $2,000 Dominion Energy Scholarship from the Independent College Fund of North Carolina (ICFNC). Both students are majoring in Business Administration.

Dominion Energy maintains a substantial and diverse commitment to quality education believing it to be the key component of economic growth. The company partners with the educational community through mentoring initiatives, philanthropic support and other means to strengthen STEM competitiveness.

Dominion Energy has provided more than $440,000 in scholarship funds to ICFNC over the past 54 years. Recipients are Business, Engineering Technology, Liberal Arts, or Construction Management majors, and are residents of Dare, Currituck, Camden, Northampton, or Martin County, North Carolina.

“Dominion Energy is supporting North Carolina’s economic growth through scholarships that will help prepare students for tomorrow’s workplace,” said ICFNC Director Colleen Kinser. “We are deeply grateful for this partnership and for Dominion’s continuing support of our students.”

The Independent College Fund of North Carolina, is a division of North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (NCICU), the sector of higher education that represents North Carolina’s 36 private, non-profit colleges and universities.
