CU Swimming’s Final Event Wins Dual Against Converse
MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Swimming team picked up a 128-126 comeback victory over Converse at home in a Conference Carolinas dual meet on Saturday evening.

1500 Free
Chowan picked up a second and fourth place finish. Keitra Lloyd (20:33.59) finished second, Sarah Hull (23:16.32) touched fourth.
200 Free
Chowan went 2-3-4 in the event with Kjahna O grabbing the second place finish with a time of 2:13.48. Grace Arredondo (2:15.72) and Jasmine Gibson (2:21.48) finished behind Kjahna O.
100 Back
Julia Chmielewska touched the wall first for the Hawks at 1:08.46. Ashley Hernandez finished third with a time of 1:13.53.
100 Breast
AnnMarie Spiker would grab a first place finish with a time of 1:20.82. MacKenzie Lucy (1:22.91) finished third, while teammate Sarah Hull (1:29.71) finished fifth.
100 Fly
Megan Reid and Jasmine Gibson finished first and second respectively with times of 1:12.55 and 1:13.17.
Keitra Lloyd grabbed a fourth place finish with a time of 1:15.25.

Grace Arredondo touched the wall first with a time of 28.74 as teammate SheAyre Bowles was not far behind touching at 28.95.
Ashley Hernandez finished with a time of 30.12 for fourth.
100 Free
Kjahna O finished second overall being outtouched by .08 with a time of 1:01.72. Grace Arredondo (1:03.54) and SheAyre Bowles (1:05.55) finished third and fourth.

Julia Chmielewska picked up her second top finish of the meet with a time of 2:35.17.
Ashley Hernandez finished fourth with a time of 2:42.88.
200 Breast
AnnMarie Spiker and MacKenzie Lucy picked up a second and third place finish respectively with time of 2:59.03 and 3:09.17.
Sarah Hull rounded out the event with a fifth place finish at 3:11.41.
400 Free
Kjahna O and Keitra Lloyd finished third and fourth in the event with time of 5:01.26 and 5:10.63 respectively.
50 Fly
Megan Reid, Jasmine Gibson, and SheAyre Bowles finished second, third and fourth in the event. Reid (30.57), Gibson (31.33), and Bowles touched at 32.66.
400 IM
AnnMarie Spiker picked up a third place finish in the event with a time of 5:43.67.
400 Free Relay
The Hawks 'A' relay allowed Chowan to complete the comeback victory with a first place finish. Julia Chmielewska, Grace Arredondo, SheAyre Bowles, and Jasmine Gibson touched at 4:16.70.
Ashley Hernandez, Keitra Lloyd, Megan Reid, and Sarah Hull was the tiebreaking decision in the meet with a third place finish touching at 4:30.30.
