CU Women’s Soccer Notches Win Number 10 Against SWU
CENTRAL, S.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer team ran their win streak to six in a row as the Hawks defeated Southern Wesleyan, 2-0, in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon.

Chowan scored two goals on three shots on goal. Carolina Lucci scored her 17th goal of the season, while Sabrina Henderson netted her fourth.
Olivia Borer recorded two saves on the quiet afternoon posting her ninth shutout of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Half:
Mackenzie Imamura recorded the first shot for the Hawks in the 16' but her attempt was blocked.
Mackenzie Imamura sent a pass up to Carolina Lucci in the middle of the field. Lucci navigated towards the box and slotted her shot just under the crossbar for her 17th goal of the season in the 30'.
The final three shots of the half for the Hawks were blocked by the Warriors' defense.
2nd Half:
In the 64', Sabrina Henderson stole the SWU throw-in from the right side of the field. Henderson would take her touch and sent an attempt towards cage from 24-yds out. The attempt bounces in front of the keeper and then bounced over the head of the keeper finding the far post for the 2-0 lead.
Chowan defense kept the Warriors' offense at-bay as the only shot on frame was saved by Olivia Borer.
