Chowan Men’s Golf Headed to NCAA D2 Atlantic/East Regional Championship
MURFREESBORO, NC – The Chowan University men's golf team will be heading to Daniels, West Virginia to participate in the NCAA D2 Atlantic/East Region Tournament on May 7th. This will be the team's second trip in as many years to the NCAA D2 Atlantic/East Men's Golf Championship. Chowan won the 2017 CIAA Men's Golf Championship on April 14th at the Crossings Golf Club in Glen Allen, Virginia to earn a bid to the NCAA championship. The team earned the #9 seed in the 10 team tournament.
The Atlantic/East Regional will be played at the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia and hosted by the Mountain East Conference. The teams will complete a practice round on May 7th, followed by competition rounds on May 8th-May 10th.
Chowan's Billy Britton paced the Hawks this season with a scoring average of 78.07 this season followed closely by teammate Jordan Francis, who averaged 78.87 strokes per round.
